1. Event Cancellation
If the event host chooses to cancel an event, and not reschedule it for a later date, you will be entitled to 100% refund of the cost of the tickets, including applied booking fees.
2. Event Rescheduling
If the event host chooses to reschedule an event, or part of an event, for a later date, you will be entitled either a refund or the right to a ticket of equal or better value for the new event date.
3. Event Relocation
Sometimes it may be necessary to relocate an event to an alternative location, due to reasons like inclement weather or venue provider problems.
No refund will be available if the alternative location is in the same town/city boundary as the original location.
However, if the event host chooses an alternative location outside the town/city boundary of the original location, you will be entitled to a refund as permitted in section '4. Cancellation By You' of this refund policy.
4. Cancellation By You
Your right to a refund depends on how close your cancellation is to the event start date:
- If you choose to cancel 30 or more days before the event start date, you will be entitled to 100% refund of the cost of the tickets, less applied booking fees.
- If you choose to cancel between 30 and 7 days before the event start date, you will be entitled to a 50% refund of the cost of the tickets, less applied booking fees.
- If you choose to cancel less than 7 days before the event start date, you will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.
- If you choose to cancel less than 7 days before the event start date, you will not be entitled to a refund of any kind.
5. Booking Fees
The per-ticket price includes a booking fee.
At this time, booking fees are either €1 or 12.5%, whichever is greater, and is added to the cost of each ticket.
Booking fees cover platform costs and third-party fees, such as card processing fees, hosting and development, which are incurred in providing the service.
They are always non-refundable when you initiate a cancellation of your tickets, or when the event host chooses to reschedule an event and you subsequently request a refund instead of choosing to attend on the new date.
Booking fees are always calculated on the sale price of tickets, not their discounted price.
6. Offers and Discounts
No refunds will be provided in order to later redeem an offer or a discount.
For example, you will not be able to request a refund of tickets, in order to take advantage of a later offer/discount for the same tickets.
Offers, discounts and ticket prices cannot be combined.
Any offers and discounts must be redeemed and realised in a single transaction.
7. Request A Refund
To request a refund, please visit our Contact Us page.
You'll need the 8-digit booking identifier, the last 4 digits of the card number used to pay and the email address entered during purchase.
8. Refund Dispersal
Refunds will be made to the original card used and, once initiated, may take from 5 to 28 business days to reflect in your account.
This period depends entirely on our payment processor, their providers and your bank - Port Life cannot be held responsible for refunds that are delayed by outside parties.
However, if you are waiting to receive a refund, and have not received it after this timeframe, please Contact Us and we'll do all we can to assist.
9. Credit Notes
We may, at our discretion, provide, in lieu of a refund, a credit note towards the purchase of tickets for other events.
Since booking fees are, in most cases, non-refundable, this would save you booking fees in the future.
A credit note can only be redeemed once, has no redemable monetary value and will be valid up to the original cost of the tickets.
For example, if ticket costs were €40, and booking fees were €45, the value of the credit note will be €40.
When redeeming, if the credit note value exceeds the new purchase value, no refund of the difference will be provided.
Furthermore, if the credit note value does not exceed the purchase value, the difference between them will need to be paid + plus applicable booking fees.
This does not affect your right to a refund, as detailed in the sections above.
10. Ticket Pool
Tickets subsequently cancelled by a refund will be returned to the ticket pool and made available for immediate purchase, except in the case when we are operating a wait list.
When we operate a wait list for an event, cancelled tickets will first be offered to people on that list, before being returned to the ticket pool for purchase by the general public.
Once refunded, cancelled tickets cannot be reclaimed unless they are repurchased.
